Erin Pennock Foff, M.D., Ph.D.
Chief Medical Officer
Erin is MapLight’s Chief Medical Officer. A clinician with an extensive background in molecular biology and genetics, Erin brings with her more than 13 years’ experience in conducting and designing clinical trials. She joins from Acadia Pharmaceuticals, where she served as executive director of clinical development and led the company’s programs in the dementia/neurodegenerative space. Prior to joining industry, Erin held an academic physician-scientist position at the University of Virginia as a cognitive neurologist with a subspecialty interest in early-onset dementing illnesses and ran a translational laboratory program investigating diseases of RNA toxicity and neurodegeneration.
Erin holds a doctorate in molecular and human genetics from Baylor College of Medicine. She completed her medical degree at Jefferson Medical College, residency in neurology at University of Virginia, and holds a certification from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
